Hey, everyone. I made a video blog. I KNOW! It’s amazing. You’ve never seen me do one before. And that’s because I never have. But I was inspired by my friend, Debra Driza, who does crazy videos on her blog (check out her videos about Kathleen Peacock’s HEMLOCK and her own MILA 2.0 ARCs). So here goes (no making fun of my voice or Chicago accent). Enjoy!
hehe! Cuteness. Love a good vlog! Your excitement at offering MILA chocolates had me giggling. Keep em coming. 🙂
Thanks, Rebecca! Video editing appears to have a learning curve, but I think I did OK for my first try :). I’ll have to think of a few more. (And I’m always excited to share chocolates 🙂 ).
Awesome vlog, Erin! You did Deb and Mila very proud. 😀
Thanks, Alina! I know how Deb likes to entertain her books, so I tried my best to make MILA comfortable :).
That was SO cute! And your first time too! Impressive
Thank you so much!
You did very well and you taught me a few things. Thank you.
Thank you! I’m glad you learned something too (hopefully it’s not “How NOT to make a vlog” 🙂 ).
Ahhh!!!! I love this! Especially how you incorporated all the Mila-y things like Dairy Queen and horses and stuff. LOVE MILA!!
Haha! Thanks, Rachael. Those DQ coupons came in the mail and I was like, “AH-HA!” It was perfect timing :). Plus, I own 2 hobby horses. Really, the whole video was like fate.
Wonderful shenanigans! Loved it. I always love seeing vlogs from my blogger buddies because it fills out my mental picture of the person.
MILA sounds great, and that cover is awesome. Congrats to Debra on the book and to you on your first vlog!
Thanks, Julie! It is fun to see our internet friends either in person or on video to fill it all in, isn’t it?
And isn’t the cover for MILA awesome? I really love it!
LOL…have a lot of free time do we??? the shot with Buzz made me laugh..and I love the Adirondack chair….will you do the same for my book when it comes out????
Well…I wrangled my kids up for some of these activities, so it wasn’t so bad. (My son was riding horses with me, it was the only way I didn’t feel silly making a book ride a horse in my side yard where my neighbors could see me 🙂 ). And my husband is somewhat obsessed with Adirondack chairs, that one is fun because we have a tree stump as an ottoman. If you want a video for your book, you’ll have to send it to me. Will the characters in your book enjoy riding fake horses and eating Dairy Queen :)?
most certainly!!!
ERIN!!!!!!!!!! Loved your Vlog! Two things that weirded me out… 1) I have been saying “Mill-ah 2.0” in my head all this time and 2) I’ve been saying “Dry-za”.
3) I obviously have a weird accent or something 😉
Anyway, you’re awesome!
LOL, Kathy! I had to DM Deb to make sure it was Mee-Lah. The books explains it’s short for Mia Lana, so I figured it was, but I had to double check. And I used to think her last name was pronounced Drizza (like drizzle with an a). I might just call her that anyway. Like, “Fo’ shizzle, Debra Drizzle.” 🙂
LOLOL, you can TOTALLY call me Debra Drizzle! And OMG, I want to go to your house so you can feed me All The Things (and especially BLIZZARDS! *bliss*) Plus, I want that Buzz doll. Just sayin’.
Thanks SO MUCH for the awesome vlog–so honored and impressed.
❤ ❤
Deb
You’re welcome! It was fun to make and I had a good book to inspire it.
Anytime you’re out in Naperville, stop by and we’ll go get Blizzards! I thought Buzz was a particularly good friend for MILA, given he has his own identity crisis and struggled realizing he’s not what he thought he was. <–stretching? Maybe :).
Good luck with everything as release day approaches (and after!).
<3!!!! So happy you're blogging (and vlogging!) again. Can't wait to read Mila 2.0!
