I Have Died and Gone to Heaven

So I am sitting here, eating a bowl of Chocolate Cheerios mixed with Peanut Butter Crunch–which is amazicle. (By the way, I totally stole “amazicle” from my litter sister and her friends. I don’t really know what it means, but if it means anything it’s the awesomeness that is Chocolate Cheerios mixed with Peanut Butter Crunch.)

I was going to do some sort of Friday Funny post showcasing the best of the hilarious pictures I’ve seen on Facebook this week. Like this:

I mean, who doesn’t love a chair that looks like it’s smiling? Right?

But then I signed into WordPress and browsed the daily Freshly Pressed section and got way, way distracted. Oh, WordPress, how you tempt me!

I stumbled upon the Pursuit of Hippieness blog and saw her recipe for Funfetti Cake Batter Fudge. Say it with me now: FUNFETTI Cake Batter FUDGE. This is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy, because there aren’t many things in the world better than Funfetti Cake. And this recipe is made from scratch, no mixes involved. Which makes it healthy. Erm. Healthier. So for those of you who don’t see the Freshly Pressed blogs, I thought I’d share. Consider my mind blown that this exists. I haven’t made it yet, but it couldn’t possibly be bad.

Thank you, Pursuit of Hippieness, thank you.

  1. Because I love baking I had to check out the recipe and those do look delicious but I can’t eat fudge anything…childhood trauma, LOL. And if you think I’m exaggerating, try being stuck in a snowstorm/blizzard in a vehicle for almost 10 hours and the only thing to eat is fudge!

    • Yes, that would be terrible! I mean, at first it sounds awesome–nothing but fudge to eat–but when you really think about it, it’s not so much. Especially in a situation like that!

  2. It’s all kinds of wrong that we don’t live close to each other. I’d be over there in a heartbeat for a slice of that cake. It also sounds like you are a WAY better cook than I. Great recipes don’t make me tingle. Great restaurants do. 😉

    • Ha! Sometimes I pretend I’m a good cook. Sometimes I really succeed. That’s why when someone else has a great recipe, I get excited :). I hear fudge packs well, I could mail you some…
